It’s Friday here @ The Feel Good Depot and you know what that means… time for our idiot of the week.
It’s a shame that this is the easiest post every week in that I only have to decide who gets the Darwin award.
I realize it’s HOT out there but c’mon… covering your kid in cold food is just nonsense.
This morning isn’t starting out very well here at the Feel Good Depot.
I can’t decide which describes things best this morning so I suppose I will post both.
And No, in case you were wondering…
Here at The Feel Good Depot we like to impart words of wisdom when we see them….
Here you are:
The night before the burial of her husband 2nd Lt. James Cathey of the United States Marine Corps, killed in Iraq, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag.
Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of “Cat”, and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept.
“I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it” she said.
“I think that’s what he would have wanted”.
-Not sure what is more honorable: Being married to this faithful wife to the end, or the Marine standing next to the casket watching over them both. God Bless our Military Men & Woman who are incredibly AWESOME!!!
You ma’am rock. You honor your husband in more ways than you know and to the watch, you already know you ROCK too.
I am glad to mention you here on The Feel Good Depot and I wish I could give out a personal hug and a salute for a job well done.
